When should I book travel?

We recommend booking hotels ASAP! Please refer to the "Travel" tab for recommended lodging.

For flights: while August is outside of peak summer season, Sun Valley can be challenging to get to, especially if you don't plan ahead. Booking travel in advance helps, particularly if you plan to fly directly into Hailey!



What is the best way to get around town?

Sun Valley is bike-friendly and somewhat walkable, but please note that Uber and Lyft are extremely limited and unreliable. As such, we would suggest renting a car if you are not staying downtown. If you choose not to rent a car, there are several taxi and private car services, including A1 taxi (208) 726-9351 and a free bus, Mountain Rides.

**We cannot stress enough how strict the police are in town. Please be smart, and do not drink and drive.**



Can I bring a guest?

Unfortunately, due to limited capacity we cannot accommodate additional guests. Your invitation will be made out to "{Your Name} & Guest" if a plus one has been given to you.

What do I wear to the events?

Welcome Party: California Cocktail.

A little fancy, a little laid back! Slacks and collared shirts for men, but no jackets or ties required!

Ceremony and Reception: Black Tie Optional.

Dress to impress, but don’t stress. Tuxedos and gowns? Absolutely. A sharp dark suit or a cute cocktail dress? Also perfect. Some of our wedding party will be rocking military dress uniforms, so if you feel like getting a little fancy, you’ll be in great company.

The reception will have some grassy areas, so keep that in mind when choosing footwear!

Farewell BBQ: Casual.

Feel free to keep it casual! Think jeans, sundresses, shorts, sneakers! No need for fancy outfits here — it’s the “we made it through the wedding weekend” victory lap, and we want you to feel right at home.



Will transportation be provided to and from the events?

Yes, shuttles will be provided for both the Welcome Party and the Wedding Day. Shuttle pick ups will be located at Limelight Hotel, Hotel Ketchum, and Sun Valley Lodge.
